Aramex has launched a creative AI-generated video campaign that educates users on spotting fake parcel delivery scams, commented Shahir Sirry, Global Creative Director, Aramex. The initiative comes amid a spike in phishing and impersonation attacks across the UAE, Jordan, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as highlighted in Help AG’s 2024 cybersecurity report. The campaign uses AI to mimic fraudulent Aramex branding, side-by-side with genuine visuals, to teach customers how to differentiate between legitimate and suspicious messages. The awareness video, shared across Aramex’s official social platforms, breaks down common scam tactics such as fake SMS links and phishing emails, especially relevant during the holiday shipping surge. “Scammers are using artificial and fake methods to deceive customers, so we thought – what better way to highlight this than through deliberately artificial content? The irony is intentional, and hence more powerful,” Sirry said.
