ASYAD Group successfully completed a time-critical air cargo operation, transporting 25 tonnes of heavy equipment from Italy to Oman using a Boeing F747 cargo charter. The urgent shipment was carried out for OQ Refineries and Petrochemical Industries (OQRPI).

The operation was fully managed by Asyad’s specialised project logistics teams, covering the entire supply chain. This included equipment pickup in Italy, international

air transport, customs clearance at Muscat International Airport, and final delivery to OQRPI’s warehouse facility in Sohar. According to Asyad, the mission highlights its ability to handle complex, high-value cargo under tight timelines. The move was completed to ensure continuity of operations and avoid production delays for the client.

Commenting on the operation, Eng. Juma Al Maskari, Director at Asyad Logistics, said the project reflects the importance of strategic partnerships and fast decision-making. He noted that time plays a crucial role in industrial operations, and Asyad’s integrated logistics approach helps clients maintain smooth production schedules.

The successful delivery also supports Oman’s growing air cargo sector, reinforcing the country’s position as a regional logistics hub. Asyad stated that such specialised air freight operations demonstrate its operational strength, sector expertise, and readiness to handle urgent cargo movements across global markets.
