ASYAD Group has officially begun the construction of Muscat Airport Free Zone, marking the start of a project designed to enhance the region’s infrastructure and expand its air cargo and logistics sectors. Located adjacent to Muscat International Airport, the new free zone is set to increase exports and imports via air freight, particularly for time-sensitive products. The Muscat Airport Free Zone, part of ASYAD’s integrated logistics network, connects sea and land ports with economic free zones. This interconnected system is likely to streamline supply chains and boost Oman as a global trade and business hub. “As Oman’s first free zone, this project highlights our commitment to private sector partnerships in building a leading air logistics hub. It will drive economic growth and unlock limitless opportunities for both local and global companies in the logistics sector. The free zone presents a golden opportunity for Omani private sector growth, offering competitive advantages and promising investment prospects,” Faisal Ali Al Balushi, Director, Muscat International Airport Free Zone, Asyad Group, said.
