ATCL expands freighter ops from Dubai to Dar es Salaam


Air Tanzania Company Limited’s (ATCL) freighter service has just increased its freighter operations from Dubai World Central (DWC). The freighter schedule is from DWC to DAR (Dar Es Salam) twice a week on Boeing 767F carrying 52 tonnes. Anilash Nair, Cargo Regional Manager, Air Tanzania (GSSA-ANA Aviation Services/ a Network Aviation Group Company, said, “With operations via Mumbai, Kinshasa, Dar Es Salam and Lubumbashi, the list of cargo destinations is expected to grow exponentially,” said. With direct freighter service from Dubai to Dar es Salaam with connections to East Africa, ATCL offers customers premium cargo solutions for shipment of perishables and local commodities from other regions. ATCL is a government-owned airline with a fleet of 13 aircraft; one Dash 8-Q300, five Dash 8-Q400, four Airbus A220-300, two Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner and one Boeing 767-300F (Cargo Freighter). Before end of this year, ATCL is likely to add two Boeing 737 Max-9 and one Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner.
