AVIAREPS named Etihad Cargo GSA in Uzbekistan

Etihad Cargo has appointed AVIAREPS as its Cargo General Sales Agent in Uzbekistan, following the launch of direct Abu Dhabi-Tashkent flights. AVIAREPS will handle cargo sales, bookings and customer service in the market, supporting shipments between Uzbekistan and the UAE. The appointment takes effect immediately.

The new arrangement gives freight forwarders and cargo agents in Uzbekistan local access to Etihad Cargo’s services and booking support. It also connects businesses in the country with Etihad Cargo’s wider network through Abu Dhabi, opening additional options for moving goods between Central Asia and international markets.

AVIAREPS will manage cargo reservations, quotations, sales visits and post-sales support. It will also provide market information, coordinate with ground handling partners and support the introduction of electronic air waybills in Uzbekistan.

The direct Abu Dhabi-Tashkent connection provides a new air cargo link between the two markets. For freight forwarders, the route can offer an additional option for moving time-sensitive and other air freight between Uzbekistan, the UAE and onward destinations.

The GSA appointment also supports Etihad Cargo’s commercial activity in Uzbekistan as demand for international cargo connectivity grows. AVIAREPS already represents Etihad in several passenger and cargo markets.

The new local sales setup can make it easier for shippers and agents to access cargo capacity, receive booking support and manage shipments through the Etihad network. It also strengthens the role of Abu Dhabi as a connection point for cargo moving between Central Asia and global markets.
