AWOT to manage Gulf, Africa, Europe operations from DAFZ

Dubai Airport Freezone (DAFZ) has opened the regional headquarters of AWOT Global Logistics Corporation, marking a major expansion move by the global logistics company, said Arif Al Khouri, Senior Vice President, Customer Services, DAFZ. From Dubai, AWOT will manage its operations across the Middle East, Africa and Europe, strengthening the emirate’s role as a key hub for supply chains and cross-border trade.

The DAFZ will continue to provide

technical and institutional support to facilitate AWOT’s expansion, streamline regulatory and customs procedures, and connect the company to an integrated logistics ecosystem.

The new office at DAFZ will oversee air, sea and land freight, cross-border transport, specialised cargo and project logistics. AWOT said Dubai’s location, strong infrastructure and business-friendly environment were key reasons for choosing the freezone as its regional base.

Al Khouri said, “The opening of AWOT’s regional headquarters at DAFZ aligns with our efforts to consolidate Dubai’s position as a global hub for supply chains and logistics services, contributing to the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which aims to double the size of Dubai’s economy and position it among the world’s top three global cities.”

The new regional headquarters will support the development of advanced business models through the deployment of AWOT’s cloud-based digital solutions and advanced tracking and analytics systems, improving operational efficiency and adding value to regional supply chains. The DAFZ will continue to provide technical and institutional support to facilitate AWOT’s expansion, streamline regulatory and customs procedures, and connect the company to an integrated logistics ecosystem. AWOT will also leverage its global network to further develop Dubai’s logistics sector and explore future regional growth opportunities.
