The Kingdom of Bahrain recorded a notable boost in air cargo volumes last month, with Bahrain International Airport handling 30,351 tonnes of cargo and mail in June, marking a 33.7 per cent increase from 22,690 tonnes recorded in May, according to data released by the Transportation and Telecommunications Ministry. The cargo comprised 10,909 tonnes of transit cargo, 7,518 tonnes of exports, and 11,924 tonnes of imports. The month-on-month growth reflects Bahrain’s strengthening position as a regional logistics hub, supported by its strategic location and efficient cargo operations.
