Bahri Logistics has launched the Bahri Bonded Zone, its first integrated bonded logistics facility in Saudi Arabia. The new facility enables businesses to store and re-export goods without paying customs duties or VAT upfront, subject to regulations. By combining bonded warehousing, digital customs integration, and value-added logistics services in one location, the facility is expected to improve supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and speed up cargo movement.

The facility is directly integrated with FASAH, the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority’s digital platform, allowing real-time shipment tracking and smoother customs procedures. This is expected to reduce processing times and improve visibility across logistics operations.

Spanning more than 95,000 square metres, the logistics centre offers over 80,000 pallet positions and can handle more than one million pallets annually. It provides ambient, chilled, and frozen storage, along with cross-docking, sorting, labelling, co-packing, and repackaging services to support different cargo requirements.

Soror Basalom, President of Bahri Logistics, said, “The launch of the Bahri Bonded Zone marks an important milestone in Bahri’s journey to expand its integrated logistics services and deliver solutions that address the evolving needs of our customers. The facility also reflects our commitment to developing advanced logistics infrastructure that contributes to greater supply chain efficiency, supports trade flows, and advances the Kingdom’s ambition to become a global logistics hub.”

The facility includes 34 loading and unloading docks and solar panels that generate around 20% of its energy needs. It is designed to serve importers, exporters, e-commerce businesses, and industries such as pharmaceuticals and food that require temperature-controlled storage. The bonded logistics facility is also expected to simplify market entry for companies outside Saudi Arabia by offering flexible storage and distribution options while strengthening the Kingdom’s growing logistics network.
