Bosta, Egypt’s leading logistics and delivery solutions provider launched the largest automated sorting machine in the Middle East, investing more than US$ 5 million to strengthen its logistics operations and support the rapidly growing e-commerce market in Egypt and the wider Middle East. Unveiled in Cairo, the new system can process up to 11,000 parcels per hour and over 250,000 parcels per day, increasing Bosta’s daily sorting capacity from 100,000 parcels and significantly improving speed, accuracy, and efficiency across its logistics network.
Commenting on the milestone, Bosta CEO Mohamed Ezzat said the new sorting machine is designed to meet growing e-commerce demand and strengthen the regional logistics ecosystem, adding that technology is now essential for building scalable delivery networks.
The launch marks a major upgrade to Bosta’s logistics infrastructure as shipment volumes continue to rise. The company handled around 37 million parcels in 2025 and is preparing to more than double that figure in 2026, driven by strong demand from online merchants.
Automation is becoming a key focus across the logistics sector in the Middle East, as customers expect faster, more reliable deliveries. By expanding its use of smart systems, Bosta aims to reduce manual errors while better supporting small and medium-sized businesses that rely on efficient order fulfilment.
