By 2030, KSA plans to handle 4.5 million tonnes of cargo



Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) plans to handle 4.5 million tonnes of cargo and 330 million passengers by 2030, Saleh Al Jasser, Minister for Transport and Logistics Services, highlighted. Minister for Investment Khalid Al Falih emphasised the aviation sector’s role in the Kingdom’s economic transformation targets US$3.3 trillion in investment by 2030. KSA is all set to unveil over US$100 billion in investment opportunities, as part of its Saudi Aviation Strategy during the upcoming Future Aviation Forum in Riyadh. The Investment Showcase, scheduled from May 20 to 22, will focus on attracting investments across various segments of the sector, including airports, airlines, ground services, cargo, and logistics, he added. The Investment Showcase will feature projects such as the King Salman International Airport in Riyadh and PPPs for several international airports. Opportunities in cargo and logistics, advanced air mobility, and business aviation will also be highlighted.
