To expand its business in the Middle East, CJ Logistics will establish a global distribution center in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by 2024, as per a company statement. It plans to build this in Riyadh’s Special Integrated Logistics Zone at King Khalid International Airport, will be the first dedicated e-commerce logistics facility in the kingdom, it stated. “The kingdom’s e-commerce market has the richest growth potential in the Middle East and the geographical advantage of connecting Africa and Europe,” CJ Logistics CEO Kang Sin-ho said, during the business launch ceremony witnessed by the Saudi Arabian General Authority Civil Aviation in Riyadh. The logistics center will have a gross floor area of 18,000 sq. mts. and a daily throughput capacity of 15,000 boxes. It will serve as a hub for logistics in the region, connecting the Middle East, Africa, and Europe.
