DHL, IFZA strengthen SME cross-border trade

DHL Express UAE and IFZA have partnered to support businesses in Dubai seeking to expand into international markets. Eligible IFZA businesses will receive preferential DHL Express shipping rates and access to the DHL GoTrade training programme, covering international trade, logistics, customs, e-commerce and trade finance.
The partnership is aimed at helping SMEs manage some of the practical challenges involved in cross-border trade. Better access to shipping services and trade knowledge can help businesses prepare goods for export, understand customs processes and manage international deliveries as they enter new markets.
Businesses in the IFZA community will be able to use DHL’s international network, which covers more than 220 countries and territories. The DHL GoTrade programme will provide training on the processes involved in moving goods across borders and developing international trade capabilities.
The collaboration also links IFZA’s business support ecosystem with DHL’s logistics expertise, giving entrepreneurs access to both trade knowledge and shipping services as they develop their international operations.
Mahmoud Haj Hussein, Managing Director, DHL Express UAE, said: “By combining our global network with practical trade education through DHL GoTrade, we can help businesses understand how to navigate cross-border trade, reach new customers and pursue international growth with greater confidence.”
