DHL Global Forwarding Lebanon has started a new transport route between Europe and GCC countries using Beirut as a transit point. Cargo moves from Europe to Lebanon by sea, then travels by road through Syria and Jordan before reaching Gulf countries. The company says this option has been created because normal Europe–GCC shipping routes are facing delays and disruption. The total transit time is around 15–18 days from Beirut Port to final delivery in the GCC.

The route is designed to keep goods moving even when regular trade lanes are not stable. Cargo first arrives in Beirut Freezone, where it is checked and processed. It is then moved in sealed trucks through Syria and Jordan under monitored conditions before reaching its final destination in the Gulf. The shipments also go through full compliance checks, including sanctions screening, before and during movement.

This new system gives companies another way to move goods between Europe and the GCC. It helps reduce delays, keeps supply chains running, and ensures shipments follow required rules and documentation. The aim is to give businesses a more reliable option when standard shipping routes are affected.
