IATA World Cargo Symposium 2024 (WCS) will focus on the three core subjects of digitalisation, sustainability, and safety, Brendan Sullivan, Head, Cargo IATA, said. The event will take place in Hong Kong from 12-14 March 2024. The core programme will kick off on March 12 with an opening plenary. During the symposium, Sullivan will look back at how the cargo industry fared during last year, and chief economist Marie Owens Thomsen will deliver an economic outlook address. There will also be sessions on air cargo market dynamics and what is influencing the sector as well as air cargo talent, e-commerce and digital transformation. There will be a round-up of the finalists in the ‘Face Up’ air cargo career competition. The event will also host a panel discussion on the impact of Generative AI on air cargo.
