DP World has significantly expanded its eITVs at Jebel Ali Port, growing from 14 units in December 2024 to 146 by October 2025. Abdulla Bin Damithan, CEO and MD, DP World GCC, said,  “The electrification drive supports the UAE’s Net Zero 2050 strategy and fortifies future-ready, resilient global supply chains, and boosts logistics.” The move marks a step in DP World’s mission to decarbonise logistics and enhance supply chain efficiency. The expanded fleet of electric internal terminal vehicles will cut diesel consumption and reduce GHG emissions by over 10 per cent — the equivalent of removing 2,255 cars from the road annually. The upgraded fleet includes 35 diesel models converted to electric by DP World, alongside 100 newly sourced units. Supported by rapid-charging infra, the initiative underscores Jebel Ali Port’s transformation into a cleaner, technology-driven logistics hub.
