DP World has unveiled a significant upgrade to its automotive logistics infrastructure with the launch of a new 2.6 million square feet vehicle storage yard at Terminal 4 of Jebel Ali Port, informed Shahab Al Jassmi, SVP, (Commercial Ports and Terminals), DP World GCC. The expansion, which adds 13,000 car equivalent units (CEUs), raises the port’s total vehicle storage capacity to 75,000 CEUs, reinforcing Dubai’s position as a central logistics hub for global automotive supply chain. A key feature of the upgrade is an 800-metre dedicated quay. By relocating RoRo operations from Terminal 1 to the new Terminal 4, DP World aims to streamline port operations for automotive cargo. The development comes in response to surging demand, with Jebel Ali Port handling 545,000 vehicles in H1 2025–28 per cent year-on-year increase.
