DP World has opened its US$ 85 million Sokhna Logistics Park (SLP) in Egypt, marking a step in strengthening the country’s logistics and trade infra. His Excellency Dr Mostafa Kamal Madbouly, Prime Minister of Egypt, alongside DP World Group Chairman and CEO Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, officially opened the park. Developed in partnership with British International Investment (BII), the 300,000-square-metre facility enhances Egypt’s position as a key logistics hub linking Africa, the Middle East, and global markets. Its strategic location near Cairo and the New Administrative Capital enables seamless access for distribution and trade.
The park integrates bonded and non-bonded warehousing, distribution, and value-added services, offering a one-stop solution for faster cargo movement and supply chain efficiency. Designed to streamline end-to-end operations, the facility will create over 300 jobs, supporting trade facilitation and sustainable economic growth. The project underscores DP World’s commitment to advancing Egypt’s logistics ecosystem and boosting its competitiveness in global trade.
