DP World opens new Thailand logistics hub

DP World has opened a 10,000-square-metre distribution centre in Bang Na, Thailand, as it expands logistics links between Asian manufacturing hubs and international markets, including the Middle East. The facility will handle high-value and time-sensitive goods such as consumer electronics, semiconductors and automotive cargo.
The centre is located in an industrial area in Bang Na, a major distribution hub in Greater Bangkok. It provides access to Laem Chabang Port and manufacturing centres in Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC).
The facility operates around the clock, allowing companies to store goods closer to key markets and manage inventory more efficiently. It is designed to support both domestic distribution and international supply chains.
The new capacity comes as manufacturers and retailers face more complex supply chains and demand for faster movement of goods. Better links between factories, warehouses and ports can help reduce delays and keep critical products moving across the region.
Jeanie Tan, Chief Commercial Officer, Logistics, Asia Pacific, DP World, said Thailand is at the centre of important manufacturing and distribution networks in the region.
“Our investment in Bang Na gives customers additional capacity in this important market while connecting them with DP World's wider freight and logistics capabilities,” she said.
The opening follows recent investments by DP World in contract logistics facilities in Singapore and Johor, Malaysia. The company also plans to open new facilities in Kuala Lumpur and the Philippines later this year.
The expansion will add to DP World’s logistics network across Southeast Asia, supporting trade between manufacturing centres, ports and international markets.
