DP World steps up expansion in Malaysia & Philippines



DP World is intensifying its trade and logistics connectivity in Southeast Asia through to expand its presence and enhance supply chain management in the region, a company statement stated. Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Chairman and CEO, DP World, recently signed an agreement in Malaysia and inaugurated two new facilities in the Philippines. In Malaysia, DP World partnered with Sabah Ports to manage Sapangar Bay Container Port, doubling its handling capacity, and boosting trade in the ASEAN Growth Area. In the Philippines, Sulayem opened the upgraded Batangas Passenger Terminal and the new Tanza Barge Terminal at Cavite, improving connectivity and facilitating smoother transportation of goods to and from Manila. These initiatives align with DP World’s commitment to driving regional growth through partnerships and investments. With Singapore as its Asia Pacific headquarters, DP World now operates 19 ports and terminals across the region.
