DP World and Wilo Group will expand cooperation on artificial intelligence-led logistics, smart supply chains and sustainable water technology under a new agreement signed in Germany. The focus is on using digital tools to improve how goods and industrial equipment move across global trade routes.

The main aim is to apply AI in logistics hubs and ports to make operations more efficient. This includes better planning of shipments, improved tracking of cargo, and faster response to supply chain delays. The companies will also look at how water technology systems can be linked with logistics platforms, he added.

The partnership builds on existing operations in Dubai’s Jebel Ali Free Zone and is expected to strengthen coordination between manufacturing sites and distribution networks across regions.

A key part of the plan is using AI systems to optimise global supply chains, especially for industrial equipment used in water infrastructure. This could help reduce bottlenecks and improve delivery timelines for customers.

Both companies will also explore training and knowledge-sharing programmes focused on digital logistics and industrial innovation, with a view to supporting future workforce needs in the UAE, Germany and other markets.
