DSV and CVC Capital Partners have placed binding bids of €14 billion for the acquisition of DB Schenker, according to reports. The CVC-led group has simultaneously offered as much as €16 billion as their closing bid that would see the German government reinvesting 25 per cent stake in the Deutsche Bahn’s logistics. DSV and CVC group were the top contenders in the race for buying out DB Schenker as Maersk dropped out of running in July 2024. CVC has partnered with GIC and Abu Dhabi Investment Authority for the acquisition.
