DSV Logistics has opened a new 100,000 sqm warehouse in Aqaba, Jordan, boosting supply chain capacity across the Middle East. The facility is designed for large-scale storage, temperature-controlled goods, and faster regional distribution, aimed at improving how cargo moves through key trade routes in the region.
The development is expected to make logistics more efficient by cutting transit times and improving delivery reliability between major Middle Eastern markets. Located in Aqaba’s strategic trade corridor, the warehouse connects sea and land networks, helping cargo move faster between global entry points and regional destinations.
For the logistics industry, the key impact is improved distribution speed and flexibility. Businesses can now store goods closer to demand centres instead of depending on long-distance transport, which helps reduce delays and improves supply chain responsiveness.
The facility also strengthens cold-chain capabilities, supporting sectors such as retail, food, and pharmaceuticals where temperature control is critical. This is expected to improve handling of sensitive goods and reduce spoilage risks across the supply chain.
In addition, digital systems at the warehouse allow real-time tracking of inventory, improving visibility and planning for shipments.
