Dubai Customs and Kuwait are stepping up cooperation to strengthen trade flows, logistics connectivity, and supply chain coordination, with talks centred on enhancing information exchange, aligning customs procedures, and exploring joint initiatives to improve efficiency across regional supply chains.
His Excellency Dr Abdulla Busenad, Director General, Dubai Customs, met His Excellency Khaled Abdulrahim Al-Zaabi, Consul General of the State of Kuwait in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, to discuss practical ways to improve cross-border trade and logistics operations. The meeting focused on Customs collaboration aimed at supporting smoother cargo flow between the two markets.
Discussions reviewed opportunities to increase trade volumes by simplifying customs processes and encouraging integration between relevant authorities. Both sides highlighted the importance of continued coordination and regular engagement to respond to changing trade patterns and growing pressure on regional supply chains.
Dr Busenad said customs cooperation plays a key role in facilitating trade and strengthening logistics links between the UAE and Kuwait, particularly as supply chains across the Gulf become more interconnected.
The meeting reflected efforts by both countries to support trade growth, improve cargo movement, and build more resilient supply chains through closer collaboration between customs and trade authorities.
