DHL has opened a new Middle East and Africa Innovation Center in Dubai South and is investing EUR 120 million in a 55,000-square-meter warehouse, marking one of its biggest expansions in the region. The new site will act as a hub for testing new logistics technology, while the warehouse will support regional and global supply chains with faster and more efficient operations. “Shaping the future of trade, this state-of-the-art facility is designed to power global supply chains and will enhance DHL’s ability to serve customers seeking shorter lead times,” said Saruhanoglu.
The innovation centre is now a permanent space where DHL will work with customers, partners, and startups to try out new ideas and design solutions for modern supply chains. It can host up to 120 people for demonstrations, workshops, and training sessions. DHL says this will help companies understand how new tools and digital systems can improve the way goods move across borders.
The new warehouse, located in Dubai South’s free zone, will operate with carbon-neutral systems and sits close to both the innovation centre andAl Maktoum International Airport. Because of its location, the facility willact as a logistics gateway between East and West, helping businesses move products more quickly. These developments also grow DHL’s wider presence in the Gulf, following recent expansions in the kingdoms of Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.
