The UAE’s e-commerce sector reached AED 32.3 billion in 2024 and is projected to surpass AED 50.6 billion by 2029, according to the fifth edition of EZDubai’s report, said Mohsen Ahmad, CEO, Logistics District, Dubai South. Logistics infrastructure is the key growth enabler, continuing to attract global players by offering seamless connectivity and advanced facilities. “The e-commerce sector in the UAE is evolving rapidly and EZDubai is proud to be at the forefront of this transformation. By offering world-class infra and seamless connectivity, we are enabling global and regional players to thrive and scale,” Ahmad said. Key logistics drivers include free delivery and return, which remain critical to customer satisfaction and conversion, though companies are carefully optimizing these services to safeguard margins.
