Globe Air Cargo Türkiye is supporting EGYPTAIR’s growing cargo operations between Türkiye and Egypt, with the airline now operating two weekly Airbus A330 freighters. The service adds capacity to a key Middle East trade corridor, with EGYPTAIR offering 105 tonnes of weekly freight capacity from Istanbul to Cairo.

“There is a strong strategic connection between our two national markets, particularly as many Turkish manufacturers are located in Egypt, so load factors are high in both directions – and demand continues to grow unabatedly,” said Ersun Guven, Managing Director of Globe Air Cargo Türkiye.

The route carries a combination of pharmaceuticals, aerospace goods, grains, pulses, seeds and general cargo. Globe Air Cargo has represented EGYPTAIR in Türkiye since 2016 and manages its cargo sales, tender management, operational support, import sales and charter activities.

The additional freighter capacity gives freight forwarders more options for moving goods between Türkiye and Egypt, while supporting cargo flows linked to Turkish manufacturers based in Egypt. Globe Air Cargo said demand remains strong in both directions.

The partnership could also see EGYPTAIR increase its freighter operations from two to four weekly flights as demand grows.

In France, Globe Air Cargo is also positioning Cairo as a regional transit hub for cargo moving onward to Saudi Arabia, Dubai and Johannesburg, giving EGYPTAIR access to wider Middle East and Africa trade flows.
