Emirates will launch an additional scheduled service between Colombo-Dubai starting 2 January 2025, increasing the airline’s capacity to carry up to 160 tonnes of cargo daily. Emirates currently operates two direct fights between Colombo and Dubai and a third daily service via Male. The new flight, EK654/655, will operate six times a week. The expansion will enhance Emirates’ role in Sri Lanka’s export and tourism sectors. The airline has long supported the country’s industries with cargo services. The new flight will run until 31 March 2025, with a seventh weekly flight added from April.
