Emirates SkyCargo orders five more Boeing 777 Fs

Emirates has ordered five additional Boeing 777Fs  with deliveries scheduled for 2025 and 2026. Along with previous orders, Emirates now has 14 pending deliveries and has extended the lease on four existing Boeing 777 freighters. By December 2026, Emirates SkyCargo expects to operate a fleet of 21 Boeing 777 freighters, up from the current 11 units. The airline is converting 10-passenger Boeing 777-300ERs into freighters as part of Dubai’s plan to extend capacity and become the pre-eminent multi-modal cargo hub for air, sea, and land connections. “We are investing in new freighter aircraft to meet surging demand and provide our customers around the world with even more flexibility, connectivity, and options to leverage market opportunity. ‘Demand for Emirates’ air cargo services has been booming. This reflects Dubai’s growing prominence as a preferred and trusted global logistics hub, and also the success of Emirates SkyCargo’s bespoke solutions that address the needs of shippers in different industry sectors,” His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive, of Emirates Airline and Group, said.
