Emirates SkyCargo reported cargo revenue growth in the first half of 2026-2027, transporting 1.2 million tonnes, as regional disruptions tightened airfreight capacity and increased demand for air cargo services. Meanwhile, dnata handled 1.49 million tonnes of cargo, down 6% year-on-year.

The airline stated that the marine transport disruptions prompted shippers to seek airfreight alternatives, supporting cargo revenue growth. During the period, Emirates SkyCargo expanded its freighter capacity with the delivery of five Boeing 777 freighters, and the deployment of its first passenger-to-freighter converted aircraft. His Highness (HH) Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive, Emirates Airline and Group said: “Customer demand held firm and our cargo operations made a strong contribution, keeping revenue and cash levels healthy even as global jet fuel prices doubled against the same period last year, impacting our costs and profitability.”

The division also added Almaty and Zhengzhou to its freighter network, introduced dedicated freighter services to more than 15 existing destinations and increased frequencies across key markets, including the Far East.
