CargoLand by LGG and Emirates SkyCargo are expanding pharmaceutical logistics capacity with new scheduled freighter services, strengthening cold-chain links between Europe, North America, and the Middle East. This year, Emirates SkyCargo will operate five weekly Boeing 777Fs into Liège, turning years of ad hoc flights into a regular network designed for temperature-sensitive healthcare cargo.
The new services make Liege a stronger hub for pharma logistics in Europe. Three of the five weekly flights will connect Liège with Chicago O’Hare and Al Maktoum International Airport in Dubai, creating a reliable corridor for medicines and life-science products. The routes support faster transit times and more predictable capacity, both critical for pharmaceutical supply chains.
A key forwarding partner will manage end-to-end flows, working closely with LGG’s dedicated pharma facilities and 24/7 freighter-first operations. This coordination helps maintain strict temperature control at every stage, from origin to final destination.
For Emirates SkyCargo, the move strengthens its Life Science and Healthcare offering from Belgium and across Europe. For CargoLand by LGG, it supports a marketplace approach that brings airlines, forwarders, and the airport together around shared pharma goals.
Overall, the partnership improves cold-chain reliability, boosts connectivity, and supports growing global demand for safe, time-critical pharmaceutical transport.
