Etihad Cargo has upgraded its digital customer platform by adding five new languages to its website and introducing new online shipment management features. The updates allow customers to book, track and modify cargo shipments more easily while improving shipment visibility across different markets.
The carrier's website is now available in Japanese, German, Spanish, Chinese and Arabic, making its online services accessible to a wider customer base. The move comes as cargo operators continue investing in digital platforms to simplify cross-border logistics and improve customer access in key international markets.
Stanislas Brun, Chief Cargo Officer, Etihad Airways, said, “We are continuously investing in tools and capabilities that make it easier, faster and more intuitive for customers to do business with us. Expanding our website to include additional languages is an important step in that journey, helping us create a more accessible and seamless experience for customers and partners across our global network."
Etihad Cargo has also introduced new self-service tools that allow customers to update and manage bookings without relying on manual support. Users can now select preferred shipment times based on flight departures, while new shipment sub-statuses provide more detailed updates on cargo movement throughout the transport process.
Another feature adds local time stamps to booking timelines, helping customers track shipments across different time zones with greater clarity. The company has also improved account management functions to simplify administrative tasks on its customer portal.
The latest changes reflect the wider shift towards digitalisation in the air cargo industry, where airlines are expanding self-service platforms to improve operational efficiency and provide customers with better visibility throughout the shipment journey. The tools are expected to reduce manual processes, improve planning and make cargo booking and tracking more efficient for freight customers.
