
Etihad Airways announced the H1 2024 results for both passenger and cargo carriers. The airline company achieved an increase in net profit in H1 2024 achieving AED 851 million and 48 per cent increased profit. There is a significant growth of 10 per cent in cargo revenue in comparison to the H1 2023 results. The higher cargo demand and higher cargo capacity of Etihad Airways fleet were the major reasons for this record growth. The cargo section alone amassed AED 1861 million in H1 2024, huge growth in comparison to the AED 1695 million in H1 2023. The freighters carried a massive 320 cargo tonnes in the first half of 2024 which surpassed previous year’s numbers of H1, 274 cargo tonnes, “We are pleased to report a strong first half of the 2024 financial year, with profit after tax 48 per cent higher than the net result reported in the same period of 2023. This reflects a robust performance in both passenger and cargo revenues, demonstrating the soundness of our strategy and growth path,” Antonoaldo Neves, Chief Executive Officer of Etihad Aviation Group, said.
