Etihad Cargo and China’s SF Airlines have strengthened their partnership with a major capacity boost connecting Abu Dhabi to two of China’s busiest logistics hubs: Shenzhen and Ezhou. The move follows their Joint Business Agreement signed earlier this year, aiming to build a shared and more efficient cargo network.

The partnership brings a total of nine weekly freighter flights to Shenzhen and seven to Ezhou, expanding links between the Middle East and Asia. Shenzhen Airport, known for its 24-hour cargo operations, allows quick turnaround times, while Ezhou Huahu Airport — China’s first dedicated cargo airport — gives access to a vast domestic and international network.

Under the agreement, both airlines will coordinate schedules, pricing, and services, providing customers with smoother connections and improved reliability. The collaboration will also support fast-growing sectors such as e-commerce and pharmaceuticals, using Etihad Cargo’s specialised PharmaLife and SecureTech products.

Officials from both airlines said the partnership will enhance trade flows and create new business opportunities between China, the Middle East, and beyond. The expansion reflects how air cargo partnerships are reshaping global logistics, offering faster, smarter, and more connected transport solutions across continents.
