Etihad Rail, Kuwait to enhance rail infrastructure across GCC

Etihad Rail and Kuwait’s Ministry of Public Works are exploring ways to jointly advance railway infrastructure across the GCC, following a strategic meeting in Kuwait between Etihad Rail CEO Shadi Malak and Dr. Noura Mohammed Khaled Al-Mishaan, Minister of Public Works, Kuwait. The discussions focused on knowledge exchange and long-term collaboration, with Kuwait expressing interest in the UAE-Oman Hafeet Rail project as a model for regional integration. Dr. Al-Mishaan praised the cross-border initiative as a benchmark for scalable, sustainable rail development. “Kuwait is eager to learn from the UAE’s experience in developing scalable, sustainable rail systems that align with regional growth strategies,” the Minister said.
