Flynas has launched the first direct cargo flights between Entebbe and Riyadh. Operating thrice a week—the service adds six tonnes of weekly cargo capacity, Wail Dagash, Chief Executive, Jet Fresh Cargo, the airline’s GSSA in Uganda, stated. Each flight offers two tonnes of space, primarily for perishables such as fresh produce, chilled fish, and vegetables, strengthening trade ties between East Africa and the Gulf. “For years, logistics have posed a barrier to trade. But now, we have a direct, reliable lifeline to a major Middle Eastern market. With Riyadh and Jeddah covered, there is room for transshipment to destinations beyond. This model can evolve to serve the entire GCC region.”
