Fujairah International Airport is putting the spotlight on drones as part of its trade and cargo innovations under the Fujairah Digital Government Pavilion. The airport is demonstrating how unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) can change logistics operations, enable faster inspections, real-time monitoring, and efficient cargo delivery across the airport. Capt. Esmaeil M. Al Boloushi, GM, Fujairah International Airport, said, “Through drones and AI, we are redefining cargo ops, enhancing monitoring, and accelerating the digital transformation of logistics services. This initiative positions Fujairah as a technology-driven hub for efficient, agile, and smart cargo handling in the region.” The drone programme is designed to enhance operational efficiency, while reducing turnaround times for cargo handling. By integrating UAV tech into airport operations, Fujairah International Airport is improving supply chain responsiveness, safety, and overall service quality. During the exhibition, the airport also signed an agreement with trackiT to deploy AI-powered asset tracking technologies. This collaboration complements the drone initiative by providing real-time visibility of cargo and equipment, streamlining logistics workflows, and supporting data-driven decision-making.
