Gaw Capital Partners and GFH Partners have joined hands to build a new industrial and logistics platform. The JV will focus on developing warehouses and logistics facilities across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Ras Al Khaimah, said Harry Ip, MD, Gaw Capital. Gaw Capital will hold a majority stake, bringing Asian investment into one of the region’s fastest-growing property sectors. The move comes as demand for industrial space in the UAE continues to outpace supply. Warehouse occupancy in Dubai is above 97 per cent, and rents have risen sharply over the past year. Government plans such as the Dubai Industrial Strategy 2030 and Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan are driving long-term growth in the sector. For Gaw Capital, this marks its first logistics investment platform in the UAE, adding to its wider logistics portfolio across Asia-Pacific.
