The GCC has set up a new logistics fast track to move goods faster between member countries. The system will cut costs, save time at borders, and help trade flow smoothly through major ports and airports. Trucks carrying goods can now travel without stopping for full customs checks at each country. Customs authorities share shipment details in advance to make the process quicker.
Priority is given to essential items such as food, medical supplies, and perishable products, so they reach their destinations on time. Trucks and cargo are still checked for safety, and measures are in place for any suspicious shipments.
Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa, president of GCC Customs, said the fast track will make customs simpler, speed up trade, and strengthen cooperation among GCC countries.
The move will improve supply chains in the region and help keep Gulf markets competitive. By making cross-border transport faster and more organized, the mechanism ensures goods move efficiently even during disruptions, supporting the flow of trade and keeping vital products available for people across the GCC.
