Hamad & Shenzhen airports team up to boost connectivity

Hamad International Airport signed a pact with Shenzhen Bao’an airport to boost cargo connectivity between Qatar and China. Hamad Al Khater, COO, Hamad airport, said, “The pact would advance sustainable logistics, while deepening economic ties between Qatar and China.” The agreement, signed at Routes World 2025 in Hong Kong between MATAR — Qatar Company for Airports Management and Operation — and Shenzhen Airport Group, sets up a framework for cooperation in cargo route development, market intelligence, and technology adoption to enhance trade flows. Chen Fanhua, DGM, Shenzhen airport, said the hub’s role as a gateway to the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area and its commitment to expanding international cargo networks.
