Harkat Company has opened a new warehouse in Baghdad, expanding its storage and distribution capacity to support automotive and industrial supply chains linking Iraq with the wider Middle East. The facility is aimed at speeding up spare parts movement, improving last-mile delivery and meeting rising demand from transport, construction and heavy equipment sectors across central and southern Iraq.
The new site increases inventory capacity and operational efficiency, allowing faster order fulfilment for parts used in trucks, buses, trailers, passenger vehicles and industrial diesel engines. Harkat said the expansion will help reduce delivery times and improve service reliability for fleet operators and contractors.
Headquartered in Erbil, the company distributes vehicle spare parts and industrial equipment across Iraq and plays a growing role in domestic automotive logistics. The Baghdad location strengthens its ability to serve high-demand urban and industrial centres.
The development comes as Iraq invests in rebuilding logistics networks after years of disruption, with warehousing and road-based distribution becoming critical to trade recovery. Improved automotive logistics is also supporting cross-border flows with Gulf markets and regional suppliers. As vehicle fleets expand and infrastructure projects accelerate across the Middle East, investments in storage, inventory management and distribution are becoming central to more resilient regional supply chains.
