Hellmann to build 28,000 sqm hub for auto parts

The 28,000-square-metre facility is being developed in Dubai's Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza) to handle the storage and distribution of automotive spare parts across the GCC, Africa and selected international markets. The hub will include high-density storage systems, pallet racking and dedicated handling areas for oversized vehicle components.
The development comes as demand for automotive logistics services continues to grow in the Middle East. Industry estimates suggest the sector could expand by 4 to 6 per cent annually through 2030, increasing the need for specialised warehousing and distribution infrastructure.
Additional storage and handling capacity can help improve the availability of spare parts, reduce delivery times and support more efficient movement of components across regional markets. The UAE's position between Europe, Asia and Africa has also made it an important transit point for automotive supply chains.
Hellmann Worldwide Logistics said the facility is being developed by INDU Logistics and will serve as a dedicated automotive hub within its Middle East network. “The UAE is a strategically important market within our global network. By establishing this dedicated automotive hub in Jafza, we are expanding our regional capabilities and creating industry-focused infrastructure,” said Lee I'Ons, Regional CEO IMEA at Hellmann Worldwide Logistics.
