In line with industry’s commitment to decarbonize aviation by 2050, IATA’s World Sustainability Symposium (WSS) is set to take place in Miami, USA this year from 24-25 September at Loews Coral Gables Hotel. WSS 2024 will host industry professionals to debate and discuss the key enablers for aviation’s successful decarbonization. IATA’s aim to conduct WSS is to support and contribute to the global cause of achieving net zero emissions by 2050. The key area of discussions will include financing the energy transition, the role of government and policy support and addressing non-CO2 emissions. The event will also bring together a diverse group of delegates representing Airlines, OEMs, ANSPs, Airports, Policymakers and regulators, and Researchers and though-leaders. The previous edition of WSS took place on 3-4 October 2023 in Madrid, Spain.
