Kenya Airways Cargo has increased its cargo connectivity between Amsterdam and Africa with seven weekly flights operating through Nairobi. The added frequency will give shippers more options to move cargo into African markets and improve cargo flow between Europe and the continent.
The airline said the flights will operate via Nairobi, which remains one of East Africa’s main cargo hubs. The increase in weekly services is expected to support sectors that depend on regular air freight movement, including perishables, pharmaceuticals, e-commerce shipments and general cargo.
For exporters and freight forwarders, more weekly flights can help reduce waiting time for shipments and provide greater flexibility in booking cargo space. Frequent services are also important for temperature-sensitive cargo and time-critical goods, as they allow faster movement across different African destinations.
Amsterdam is one of Europe’s major air cargo gateways, handling large volumes of international freight. Stronger links between Amsterdam and Nairobi can help improve trade access between European businesses and African markets.
The development also reflects growing demand for air cargo services connecting Africa with Europe, especially as trade volumes and cross-border e-commerce shipments continue to rise.
