KSA in talks with Boeing and Airbus for new cargo airline

Public Investment Fund of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is in talks with manufacturers to take possession of Boeing 777 and Airbus A350 freighters for a new cargo airline. The new carrier will reportedly provide freighter capacity for Saudia and Riyadh Air. However, the talks are still on the initial stages and there is no guarantee that the deal will be finalised. With these acquisitions, the Kingdom is eyeing to elevate its position as a global air logistics hub emulating the likes of Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Qatar.
