The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) business leaders are assessing the creation of a 50,000 sqm logistics hub in Jordan’s free zones, aimed at strengthening regional trade and reconstruction efforts, as per Jordan Free and Development Zones Group (JFDZ), said Abdulhamid Gharaibeh, Director of JFDZ. A delegation from the Federation of Saudi Chambers visiting Jordan for the Saudi Jordanian Business Forum visited the free zone sites near Queen Alia International Airport, noting the location and direct access to air cargo services. Discussions focused on leasing land for a regional hub to support exports from the Kingdom to Iraq, Syria and potentially Palestine, while exploring Jordan’s investment incentives and modern infra. Officials said the delegation is expected to return soon to finalise investment agreements, highlighting cooperation under the Saudi Jordanian Coordination Council, which facilitate trade, JVs, and economic collaboration between the two countries.
