Nigeria and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) are set to restart cargo flight operations, according to Festus Keyamo, Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Nigeria. Keyamo announced the pact during a ministerial press briefing in Abuja, marking the Tinubu administration’s one-year anniversary.

Keyamo, who recently returned from a visit to KSA, said, “I met my counterpart there, and we have agreed to resume cargo flights between our countries, which was suspended for a long time. Now cargo flights are back again.” Resumption of the exact date of the cargo flight hasnot been announced yet. Keyamo also noted the resolution of a diplomatic issue with the UAE, which had led to a visa ban on Nigerians. He recently remarked the diplomatic tension had been resolved, paving the way for improved bilateral ties and increased air traffic between the two nations.
