ME & Central Asia-Europe route spot rates surge by 126%: Xeneta



In its latest market analysis data, Xeneta stated for July, there was no noticeable disruption to rates amidst the heavy demand for air cargo globally.  The Middle East and Central Asia-Europe lane continue to lead globally on year-on-year growth, as its average cargo rate spiked 126 per cent YOY for the month of July, reaching US$3.16 per kg. The global average air cargo rates have reached to US$2.66 per kg in July, which is 20 per cent more than same month in July 2023.The platform released the market analysis data for specific regions and routes and their cargo spot rates. The Southeast Asia-North America lanes took second spot with 116 per cent YoY growth. However, the Europe-Middle East & Central Asia lane suffered a 10 per cent decline in the average spot rates for air freight.
