Air cargo activity in the Middle East and South Asia picked up in late September, with chargeable weight rising 3 per cent year-on-year, as per WorldACD Air Cargo Market Trends report. Airlines operating in the Middle East appear to be managing capacity efficiently, even as global averages showed a 6 per cent decline in rates. With capacity expected to rise ahead of the year-end peak season, the Middle East’s air cargo market continues to demonstrate stability and growth potential, positioning the region as a key link in global supply chains. The region’s performance stands out as one of the most stable globally, supported by strong trade flows and steady capacity levels. While rates remained unchanged compared to last year, capacity in the region held firm, signalling a balanced market environment.
