SAL Logistics Services welcomed the first China Cargo Airlines freighter at its Riyadh station, marking a key step in expanding cargo operations between Saudi Arabia and China. The new route strengthens trade and supply chains, using Riyadh’s strategic location to efficiently connect shipments across the Kingdom.
Mohammed Nahhas, President – Cargo Handling, SAL Logistics Services, said the arrival of the freighter is a “significant milestone” in the partnership. He noted that Riyadh will serve as a central hub for receiving and distributing cargo to other cities. The collaboration aims to meet growing demand for air freight and improve operational efficiency through global partnerships.
SAL plans to continue working with international and regional partners to expand services, support seamless trade flows, and strengthen Saudi Arabia’s role as a global logistics hub. This move aligns with the National Transport and Logistics Strategy and Saudi Vision 2030, which aim to enhance the Kingdom’s transport infrastructure, improve supply chains, and attract foreign investment in logistics. The new China Cargo Airlines freighter at Riyadh highlights SAL’s ongoing efforts to modernise cargo handling and boost international trade connections.
