Oman’s logistics sector saw strong growth in 2025, supported by rising investment, expanding cargo volumes, and upgraded transport infrastructure, according to the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology. Total investment in logistics reached RO 3.4 billion by the end of 2025, strengthening supply chain efficiency across the country.
General cargo volumes rose from 115.7 million tonnes in 2024 to over 143 million tonnes in 2025, while land transport revenues increased by 18 per cent, reflecting growing demand for freight and distribution services nationwide. Infrastructure delivery also exceeded expectations, with 85 per cent of planned logistics projects completed.
Looking ahead, the ministry projects continued expansion in the logistics sector, driven by further investment in transport networks and supply chain solutions. Oman aims to enhance cargo movement, improve service efficiency, and strengthen its position as a key logistics hub in the Middle East, supporting trade flows across the region.
